Maqtab

Northern part of Bangladesh is a neglected. The Islamic teaching is not present there. Poverty, flood, are part their life. Many christian missionary groups are active there for their dawa activities. Many muslims have been converted to christianity.

Missionaries set up schools where Muslims kids are reading bible. This is happening due to inaccessibility of Islamic education to the people in this area.

To facilitate Islamic education to the kids and elders, Al-Falah Trust is currently running 38 maqtabs in Kurigram area. Each Maqrab has been run by an Islamic scholar who must go through 10 days training programme (fajr to 9 PM) first and has to be qualified by passing a post-training test. These scholars teach the students in every Maqtab on below subjects during a year:

1. Reading Quran with proper tajweeb
2. Five Pillars of Islam
3. Aqeeda
4. Basic Islamic Jurisprudence
5. Imam Nawabi 40 hadith.

As part of the project, 10 days training programme started from today morning, Alhamdulillah. Total 34 trainees are participating in this training programme.
